NASA Astronaut, Douglas H. Wheelock posted this amazing view of Hurricane Earl from Space
Hurricane Earl massed into a Category 4, but is moving away from the northeastern Caribbean.
Strong winds and rain have taken roofs off buildings, taken down power lines, and caused flooding on several islands. 10-15 ft high seas reported throughout the watch area.
While hurricane warnings discontinued for Puerto Rico and St. Maarten, however Puerto Rico still remains under a Tropical Storm Warning along with Antigua, southeastern Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, and U.S. Virgin Islands.
In addition, flash flood watch in effect for all of Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
Earl is now on course to collide with the U.S. eastern seaboard by mid-week.
And Fiona - the next named storm - is currently moving toward the west near 24 mph. On the projected track Fiona could be northeast of the Northern Leeward Islands by early Wednesday.
